Daily Do’s for a Healthier You

World Health Organisation states that, health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

But how to do it?

Remain disease free but in a state of consistent energy and well-being

I am listing a set of very simple actions taken daily, which will keep the energy flowing through the critical nodes in our body. The energy nodes/junctions are popularly know as chakras and there is a lot of mysticism around “activating” them.

Small adjustments to the daily routine and you are up and running

We just need to daily engage these energy nodes while creating a balance with the elements we are made of. You need not do a PhD in these subjects, just follow this routine and you will experience an almost magical change in you.

Simple activities for an efficient energy management

Activity 1 : 6 Types of body movement: Front and Back (Sagittal Plane), Sideways- left and right (Coronal Plane) and up & down (Transverse Plane). You may choose to do Surya-namaskar to achieve all the movements. Idea is to have these basic movements of the body daily.

Activity 2 : Tapping is a simple yet powerful technique to immediately release blocked energies in the upper half of the body. Key locations to tap are on your head, face and chest. Can also be done for quick relief for headaches, tensions and air flow.

Activity 3: Daily, ensure that you involve your hands and feet in activities to the fullest. Some examples could be gardening, playing a game like volley-ball, ping pong etc.

Activity 4 : Exposure to all 5 elements: Air, Water, Fire, Earth and Ether has tremendous impact on your overall balance. Spend time outdoors, do activities which make you touch the grass, earth, trees etc. Have a daily routing around having a water, fire and air wash

Activity 5 : Sun is the most significant source of energy for all life forms on earth. For the same reason, we too need to have the right exposure to it at the right times. Especially, 30 mins before sunrise and around sunset.

Activity 6 : Stop and pause and listen to your body and mind. It REALLY speaks. You need to cut all your outward senses of sight, smell, sound, touch and taste to focus inwards, some call it meditation.

Make these activities part of your daily routine and see a life full of possibilities unfolding. Your perception of things will change, baggage will reduce and more importantly you will travel light on this beautiful journey of life.
